Swedish army trains with French and Dutch units during Aurora 26 exercise

Swedish forces train with allied forces during the Aurora 26 military exercise in response to an increased threat along NATO's eastern flank.

About 2,700 soldiers have been involved so far, including personnel from France and the Netherlands. The exercise is due to take place across large parts of Sweden between April 27 and May 13, 2026, and will see 18,000 soldiers from 13 countries take part in total.
