China vows to safeguard lawful rights, interests in Panama port issues

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian reaffirmed on Wednesday that the country will firmly uphold its legitimate rights and interests on issues related to relevant ports in Panama. Lin made the remarks at a regular news briefing and asserted that the inspections on ships conducted by Chinese authorities are in accordance with laws and regulations.
