S. Korea launches its first homegrown KF-21 fighter jet

On Thursday, South Korea had launched its first mass-produced KF-21 fighter jet designed and built with homegrown technology, making it the 8th country in the world to develop a supersonic fighter jet.

During the launching ceremony, President Lee Jae Myung told guests that this first series-production KF-21 also known as the Boramae was expected to protect peace with its own technology, not only on land and sea but also in the air of South Korea. President Lee also said that South Korea would seek other partner nations to further strengthen the competitiveness of its defense industryincluding the KF-21.
