India hosts global conference on women in agri-food systems

Indian President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Global Conference on the role of Women in Agri-food Systems in New Delhi on Thursday. The event brought together stakeholders to discuss the contribution of women and their role in strengthening agri-food systems.

This year’s theme of the event, “Driving Progress, Attaining New Heights,” aligns with the global emphasis on empowering women farmers and recognizing their contributions to agriculture and food systems.
