Phu Quoc tourism booms early 2026

Phu Quoc, Viet Nam's largest island has recorded a strong increase in tourism in the first two months of 2026, welcoming more than 2.2 million visitors, up 57.7% year on year. International arrivals rose by around 86%, reflecting the island’s growing global appeal.

Tourism revenue reached 15.7 trillion VND, with Phu Quoc accounting for the vast majority of the province’s tourism earnings. The island is preparing to host APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in 2027, which is expected to further boost its profile as a major regional destination.
