PM Modi flags off Namo Bharat, Meerut Metro trains

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated India’s first Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), describing the moment as the beginning of a new era of world-class infrastructure for Uttar Pradesh and the country.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Modi also inaugurated the Meerut Metro, operating on the same infrastructure as Namo Bharat.  Later, he addressed the gathering, highlighting the transformative impact of these projects on regional connectivity and urban development.
