IMF commended for effort taken to stabilize Sri Lanka's economy

Sri Lankan Prime Minister received Managing Director of the International Monitory Fund Kristalina Georgieva in Colombo on Thursday.

 Kristalina Georgieva appreciated the government’s effort in stabilizing national economy and discussed the impact caused to the economically vulnerable community due to the cyclone Ditwah. Prime Minister stated that the government appreciated the support extended by the IMF to normalize the disaster effected country.

During the meeting with central bank governor, Kristalina Georgieva also expressed her satisfaction towards the central bank’s role played in normalizing the micro economic stability following the economic crisis.
