







The Awareness Seminar on the Application of Artificial Intelligence Technology for MSME Development was held on February 12th at the Command Office, Nay Pyi Taw Square, the venue for the Union-level MSME Products Exhibition and Market Fair.
Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than stated that officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology would discuss the application of AI technology for MSME development.
He noted that if business owners have requirements in implementing their operations, arrangements will be made in coordination with the ministries. He added that regarding this discussions, any questions or unclear points could be openly raised and discussed.
Continuing, the Union Minister for Science and Technology discussed that a Digital Corner pavilion has been opened at the ongoing MSME Products Exhibition and Sale Festival, displaying research findings related to product development for MSMEs.
He mentioned that business owners can coordinate with universities for upgrading their products and that requirements will be addressed in a timely manner. Subsequently, the Directors General from various departments discussed their departments' implementation activities, technology dissemination efforts, and the utilization of AI technology.
Business owners in attendance raised questions, which were responded to and clarified by the respective officials. The Union Minister for Science and Technology delivered the concluding address. In the afternoon, an Awareness Seminar on Investment and Business Development for MSMEs was held.
Attendees included Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Wah Wah Maung, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Directors General and business owners. First, the Union Minister for Industry delivered an opening speech.
The Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations then stated that efforts are being made to facilitate access to financial capital for the development of domestic MSMEs. She invited attendees to raise any points for discussion regarding the topics presented.
Following this, the Director of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration clarified the current status of assistance and support provided to companies under the Investment Law. Business owners in attendance asked questions, which were clarified by the respective officials.
