




Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, together with the officials, inspected livestock and agricultural cooperative projects in Lewe Township on Friday.
They visited Taloatpin Village, where two cooperatives are jointly raising 472 crossbred cattle. Officials explained the project’s progress, and the Union Minister instructed for expanding the cultivation of maize, fodder crops and Napier grass to reduce feed costs and improve efficiency.
He also inspected fodder plantations, staff housing and office buildings. They then visited Yonetaw Village, where land clearing is underway for a broiler chicken farming project to be jointly implemented by a local cooperative and a private company.
They also inspected the completion of an agricultural machinery sales showroom and a workshop for installing new equipment and repairing used machinery, jointly operated by two cooperatives. The Union Minister instructed for timely completion of the projects in line with procedures.
