Law Amendment: Amendment for the allowance of Hluttaw Representatives

National Defence and Security Council enacted Law No.2/2026 on 28th January, regarding to the 2nd amendment of The Law Relating to emoluments and allowances of the Representatives of the Pyithu Hluttaw, the Amyotha Hluttaw, the Region or State Hluttaw and the members of the Leading Body of the Self-Administered Division or Self- Administered Zone. The enactment was made in accord with the section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. 

According to Section-6 of the amended law, the Hluttaw representatives and members of the Leading Body are entitled to enjoy 8000 kyats as the allowance for accommodation and 7,000 kyats for other expense per day for travelling on duty. According to Section-8 of the amended law, the Hluttaw representatives and members of the Leading Body are entitled to enjoy 20,000 kyats as allowance for meal per day for travelling on duty. The order was signed by Acting President, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
