






A Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan attended the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit held in New Delhi of India.
The summit was attended by ministers, senior monks, scholars, and representatives from over 40 countries and it was held under the theme “Collective Wisdom, United Voice and Mutual Coexistence.” At the opening ceremony, the Indian ministers and Buddhist leaders delivered speeches, followed by cultural performances.
The Deputy Minister participated in a panel discussion, where she highlighted the role of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar society, daily religious practices, moral values, and the importance of Pali studies and monastic education. The Myanmar delegation also attended discussion sessions on the second day and visited an exhibition of the sacred Piprahwa Buddha relics in New Delhi.
