Oral Hearing: The Gambia vs. Myanmar Case Hearing continues

The oral hearing concerning the case between The Gambia and Myanmar is being held at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, from January 12 to 29.

The Gambia began its second round of oral arguments at 10:00 AM local time on January 26. In addition to the usual 14 judges attending the hearing, Chinese Judge Mrs. Xue participated, bringing the total number of judges present to 15. It is reported that the lead counsel and lawyers for The Gambia have alleged that Myanmar has an intent to commit genocide against Bengalis. The Gambia's second round of oral arguments continues on January 27, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM local time.
