Myanmar-Thailand: SSPC VC received Ambassador of Thailand

Vice-Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, received Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar who has completed his tour of duty in Myanmar and is preparing to depart, at the Credential Hall of the National Defense and Security Council Office in Nay Pyi Taw on January 26.

During the meeting, they openly discussed matters regarding friendship and cooperation between the governments and armed forces of Myanmar and Thailand. They discussed the ongoing efforts being carried out as a national duty to combat online scams, gambling, narcotics, and illicit trade occurring along the border areas of both countries.

They also discussed the situation regarding the need for cooperation between the governments and armed forces of both countries to swiftly reopen border trade routes and establish stability and peace in border regions for the improvement of bilateral trade and commodity flow. Additionally, they exchanged views on the successful completion of the multi-party democracy general election. Following the discussions, they took a group photograph, it’s learnt.
