






A coordination meeting to ensure the successful display of local products at the upcoming Union-Level MSME Product Exhibition and Fair in honor of the 79th Union Day was held at the Mandalay Region Government Office.
In his opening speech, the Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung stated that the region will showcase a total of 91 booths at the fair, which will be held in Nay Pyi Taw from February 9 to 13. The exhibition will feature, 54 booths for products using local raw materials, 12 booths for import-substitution value-added products, 14 booths for agriculture and livestock-based products, 3 booths for export products, 14 booths for "One Village, One Product" (OVOP) displays.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the fair will provide significant benefits by gathering regional products in one place and allowing producers to meet consumers directly. He emphasized that everyone must work together to develop Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, as they are the fundamental strength of the national economy. He also stressed the importance of boosting the manufacturing sector within the region to improve the country's overall economy.
Following the Chief Minister's remarks, the Region Minister for Economic Affairs, the Region Head of the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection, and various business owners explained their preparations and the specific products to be displayed. The Chief Minister concluded the meeting by coordinating the requirements and suggestions presented during the discussion, it’s reported.
