Dinner Reception: UEC hosts dinner for International Election Observers

A dinner reception was held at Park Royal Hotel in Yangon on Sunday, to honor international observers who monitored the third phase of multi-party democracy general election.

Union Election Commission Chairman U Than Soe and officials  welcomed the delegates from Belarus, Cambodia, Nepal, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Nicaragua, India, and International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

In his speech, the Commission Chairman praised the observers’ role in ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election and thanked for supporting Myanmar’s democratic process. Attendees later enjoyed the dinner, while the artistes performed with traditional cultural performances.
