







Eligible voters from 17 townships in Yangon Region are casting their votes at respective polling stations for the third phase of the multi-party democracy general election, starting 6:00 am in the morning on Sunday.
Officials from the respective polling stations provide convenient arrangements for smooth voting process. The international election observation teams also visit the polling stations to witness the transparency and efficiency of voting process.
The election is being conducted under a dual electoral system. The Pyithu Hluttaw continues to use the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) system, while the Amyotha Hluttaw and Region/State Hluttaws are using a Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) system.
