Preparation for Election: Meeting with election officials and awareness activities

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Region Government members met District, Township, Ward and Village Sub-Election Commission officials from Dala and Seikkyi KhanaungTo Townships on December 22 at ThiriZeya Nawrahta Hall in Dala Township.

During the meeting, they discussed arrangements for the successful conduct of the multiparty democratic general election (Phase-3), safeguarding voting rights for all eligible voters and arranging transportation to facilitate voter turnout. After hearing sector-wise reports, the Chief Minister called on relevant election commission officials to cooperate for the election.

The Chief Minister and party then distributed election campaign pamphlets to the public at the Aung Mingalar Road intersection in Dala Township. They also inspected preparations at polling stations at Basic Education Primary School No. 7 and the Sports and Physical Education Department.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the successful Phase-3 multiparty democratic general election, officials conduct pamphlet distribution, posting stickers and public awareness campaigns in the townships of Yangon Region.
