Support for Myanmar Delegation: Full support for Myanmar delegation at ICJ

Various organizations issued statements expressing full support for the Myanmar delegation representing the country at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.

The delegation, led by Union Minister at the President Office (2) U Ko Ko Hlaing and Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, is attending ICJ proceedings from January 12 to 29, to defend Myanmar’s national interests, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

On Friday,  the All Myanmar Hindu Central Council, Pinnaygon Arkani Jaame Mosque and the Myanmar Council of Churches expressed their support for Myanmar delegation, stating that they highly values the efforts of the delegation in legally countering the unfounded allegations by The Gambia. The statements said Myanmar’s defense at the ICJ is an important historic responsibility and affirmed its firm and united support for the government’s position and policies.
