






Myanmar government is extending an invitation to those involved in various armed groups, including the PDF, to return to the legal fold.
In this efforts, 22 men and 2 women who understand the peace processes of the Nation and the Tatmadaw entered legal fold along with weapons on Thursday. Due to unacceptable terrorist acts committed by the PDF terrorist group on the innocent locals and civil servants, they entered legal fold for the benefits of nation and its citizens, understanding the peace efforts implemented by the government.
The returnees are from Monywa, Sagaing, Kalay and Homalin Townships in Sagaing Region and they were handed over to their respective guardians. The hand over ceremony was held at Northwest Command Headquarters on Thursday, attended by Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Commander Brig-Gen Kyaw Thura and concerned officials.
After delivering the opening remark by the Chief Minister, the Commander made clarification on efforts for region’s peace and stability and educative talks on penal code. The returnees also handed over the weapons including three assorted guns and various ammunition. They were presented with 48 million kyats cash rewards and foodstuff by the Chief Minister and the Commander.
