Preparation for Election Phase-3: Chief Minister meets with election officials in Yangon

In preparation for successful holding of the Phase (3) of Multiparty Democracy General Election, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials met and discussed with concerned personnel from election sub-committees of Kyauk Tan, Thaketa, Mingalar Taung Nyunt and Lanmadaw Townships on January 21st.

During the visits, the Chief Minister coordinated the requirements and instructed the concerned personnel to ensure that voters can cast their votes easily and freely, to arrange polling stations at convenient locations for smooth voting process, to ensure all eligible voters have the right to vote, to carry out election-related public education and awareness-raising activities, as well as to make arrangements for vehicles to facilitate convenient transportation for voters.
