Defence Cooperation: Meeting with Thai delegation in Nay Pyi Taw

Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win received Thai delegation led by General Direk Bongkarn, Advisory Board Chairman of the Office of the Royal Thai Army Chief, head of the Thai Army Operation Center, and Neighboring Countries Coordination Center (NCCC) in Nay Pyi Taw on 22nd January.

During the meeting, both sides cordially discussed on current bilateral defence cooperation and further defence collaborative measures, upholding peace in border area to promote bilateral trade, and Myanmar’s strenuous efforts to prevent the recurrence of online fraud and gambling to eliminate drug as a national duty. The meeting also focused on acceleration of bilateral information exchanges as well as preparations to successfully implement the 2025 multi-party democracy general election phase-3.
