





Union Minister for Construction, U Myo Thant, met with the staff from departments under the Ministry of Construction in the districts and townships of Shan State (East) and conducted a field inspection of the maintenance work on the Kyaing Tong-Loimwe Road on January 19.
First, the Union Minister met with personnel from the Department of Buildings, Department of Highways, Department of Bridges, and Department of Urban and Housing Development at the Office of the Director of Highways in Kyaing Tong. During the meeting, he provided clarifications regarding operational matters and administrative regulations to be followed.
Following the individual reports from staff members on their respective work progress, the Union Minister delivered concluding remarks. He emphasized the critical importance of strictly supervising internal information security and document security within the departments. He also noted the need to train staff to enhance their morale, discipline, capacity, and professional quality. He urged everyone to remain loyal to the State and to uphold the dignity of both themselves and their departments by diligently fulfilling their assigned duties.
Afterward, the Union Minister and responsible officials conducted a field inspection of the maintenance activities on the Kyaing Tong -Loimwe Road. The Director of the Eastern Shan State Highways Department explained the completion of road widening works up to the Nam Latt Hydroelectric Power Plant and detailed the upcoming work schedules.
The Union Minister provided the necessary guidance based on the presentations, it’s reported.
