Preparation for Election : Chief Minister meets election officials

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein on Sunday met with district, township, ward, and village election sub-commission officials to discuss preparations for the successful holding of the Phase 3 of Multi-Party Democratic General Election.

During the meetings, the Chief Minister emphasized for smooth voting process with convenient arrangement for the eligible voters in order not to lose their voting rights. The meetings were held in North Okkalapa, Dagon Myothit (East), and Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Townships, with participation from election commission members, administrative officials, and departmental representatives.

The Chief Minister also inspected the installation of voting machines and called on relevant departments to work together at every level to ensure the election is conducted successfully.
