ASEAN Para Games : Encouraging Para-athletes and flag raising event

Chairman of the Myanmar Paralympic Committee, Maj-Gen Hla Moe, and committee members inspected the training of Myanmar para-athletes, preparing for the 13th ASEAN Para Games, which will be hosted by Thailand.

The Chairman encouraged Myanmar teams currently training in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). He urged athletes to compete with determination, discipline, and strong spirit to achieve success and bring honor to the country. The delegation also observed classification assessments for para-swimmers at the swimming pool inside the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Commemorative Stadium.

Meanwhile, Myanmar team leaders and medical officials checked athletes’ accommodation, health conditions, meals, and training arrangements at the Sports Village of Suranaree University of Technology and provided necessary support.

In the afternoon, the flag-raising ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Para Games, took place at the Thao Suranaree Monument. Officials, athletes, and representatives from 10 participating countries attended the ceremony. The 13th ASEAN Para Games is scheduled to be held from January 20 to 26 in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima.
