Irrigation Facilities : Progress of dam repair works inspected in Nay Pyi Taw

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw inspected repair works at Chaungma Gyi Dam and Ottara Thiri Dam in Nay Pyi Taw on January 16, which were damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.

During the visit, he reviewed ongoing repair works to ensure the long-term safety and stability of the dams and provided technical guidance and support. The Deputy Minister also instructed to follow approved technical standards, ensure soil compaction quality, and closely monitor construction work. He also emphasized efficient water use, minimizing water loss, and completing downstream repair works before the rainy season.
