





Aiming to open summer sports courses and to nurture new generation athletes, Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by concerned officials, made inspections at sports ground and stadiums within Pyin Oo Lwin District, Mandalay Region on Saturday.
At Pyin Oo Lwin District Sports Ground, the Union Minister and party inspected football field, special bleacher and VIP guest room. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed on facelifting, cleanliness and greening of the sports ground to offer convenient sports area for the sports enthusiasts.
He also emphasized on necessary facelifting and maintenance measures for VIP guest room and urged to conduct region/ district/ township inter-school sports events for the emergence of qualified new generation athletes. Subsequently, the Union Minister visited Pyin Oo Lwin District Sports and Physical Education Department, and met with the staff.
In his speech, the Union Minister stressed on strict adherence to 6 civil servant’s oath and 30 civil servant ethics, urging them to make concerted efforts for the development of department and nation’s sports sector as a whole. The Union Minister also provided foodstuff for the staff.
