Inspection of Sports Trainings: MOC Chairman inspected sports trainings in Yangon

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by officials, inspected the sports training sessions of athletes and coaches/administrators from the University of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) at the Kyaikasan Sports Complex on the evening of January 14.

First, the Union Minister observed the training sessions of athletes from the University of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon). He then met with the coaches/administrators and athletes and delivered a speech. In his address, he urged the coaches/administrators to systematically conduct continuous training sessions and assessments to develop skilled athletes who are proficient in the fitness, performance, techniques, tactics, and strategies specific to their sports. He encouraged them to strive so that selected veteran athletes can join and compete alongside reinforcements in the 2027 Southeast Asian Games. He emphasized that to become qualified elite athletes who can participate in future Southeast Asian Games and achieve successful medals, they must start now by repeatedly practicing to master the techniques and strategies, it’s reported.
