Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe met with 93 graduates from the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree Colleges (Yangon and Sagaing) in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister welcomed the new graduates and explained the ministry’s work in improving rural livelihoods, social and economic development, and family income generation across the country. He highlighted the ministry’s key departments  including Cooperatives, Rural Development, Small and Medium Industries, and Rural Roads Development and their ongoing projects.

The Union Minister said that the courses offered at cooperative universities and colleges are practically useful, and many graduates are being employed by government departments and private companies.

He added that the ministry will organize on-the-job training to help graduates understand policies and duties, and 34 outstanding graduates will continue advanced studies at universities after one year of service. He urged all graduates to serve with unity, integrity, and dedication, to help develop their regions and the country, and to respect the prescribed laws and responsibilities.
