Inspections in Ayeyawaddy: Union Minister Inspects Investment Activities

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Vice Chair of the Myanmar Investment Commission Dr. Wah Wah Maung visited the fishing, processing, freezing, and related businesses in Payar Kyaung Village in Pantanaw Township of Ayeyawwady Region.

There, the Union Minister provided guidance on producing value-added products and import-substitute products, and urged efforts to strategically distribute and sell in both domestic and international export markets. Also, Chief Minister of Ayeyawaddy Region U Tin Maung Win discussed plans for future investment expansion.

The inspected business is working to establish a Food Park, implement a "Farm to Table" approach for consumers, and currently exports its products to the global market. Following this, the Union Minister chaired a meeting at the Ayeyawaddy Region Government Office on November 10. The meeting focused on investment promotion and process as well as recovery of loans disbursed from the COVID-19 Fund.

The Union Minister then met with entrepreneurs and discussed increasing production output, upgrading technology and standards, and increasing exports to earn state revenue, in addition to supplying the domestic market. Finally, the Union Minister visited factories and workshops within the Pathein Industrial Complex where she coordinated and resolved outstanding needs.
