British soldiers learn to fight in Kenya in training sessions culminating in a simulated assault involving over 1,000 troops. These exercises are designed to test combat readiness and coordination in realistic environments, often involving the use of both live and simulated fire, and are some of the largest training exercises of their kind outside the UK.

The training also includes civil engineering projects and healthcare assistance provided to local communities as part of a defense agreement. The size and scale of the British war games in Kenya is unusual: only Suffield in Canada and the UK’s Salisbury Plain allow something similar.
