Inspection tour: Kayah State CM made inspection tour around Loikaw

On the morning of October 20, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, accompanied by the Regional Operation Commander, State Government members, and relevant departmental officials, visited Kone Thar Village and Lin Hpone Lay Village in Loikaw Township to meet with and encourage the residents who have returned to resettle, and to address their needs.

The State Chief Minister and officials met with the residents who have returned to resettle in Kone Thar Village at the Nyana Beikman Dhamma Hall of the Taung Mawt Monastery in Kone Thar Village, Loikaw Township. He urged them to present their difficulties and requirements for support.

The Regional Operation Commander discussed matters related to regional security. Subsequently, the village residents presented their needs for support. The State Chief Minister responded regarding the situation for addressing the submitted requests and coordinated the necessary support with the relevant departmental officials.

Afterwards, the State Chief Minister and officials provided corrugated iron sheets and funds for the damaged houses, and distributed sunflower seed packets for farmers intending to cultivate sunflower as a winter crop. They warmly greeted and encouraged the attendees, inspected the damaged religious structures and school buildings within the monastery compound for restoration, and instructed the responsible officials on necessary actions.

Next, the State Chief Minister and officials proceeded to the Basic Education High School (Kone Thar) and instructed them to carry out the necessary measures for the school to reopen and resume teaching. They also inspected the ongoing work to reconnect power lines and reinstall transformers for the restoration of electricity in Kone Thar Village.

The State Chief Minister and officials then arrived at Lin Hpone Lay Village. They paid respects to the presiding Sayadaws of the Lin Hpone Lay Pariyatti Monastery and the Mingalar Swun Shan Monastery, offering donated items.

They met with the residents of Lin Hpone Lay (Upper and Lower) villages, instructed on necessary matters, and provided cash awards to facilitate the living conditions of the teachers from the Lin Hpone Lay Basic Education Middle School.

They also warmly greeted and encouraged the village residents. Afterwards, they inspected the Zina Man Aung Pagoda and the Moe Kaung Pagoda within the village for potential restoration. They toured the conditions of the Rural Health Sub-center building and staff housing, as well as the classrooms and teachers' residences of the Lin Hpone Lay Basic Education Middle School that require repair for the facilities to reopen.

They coordinated with responsible officials for swift restoration. Finally, they inspected the temporarily established classrooms of the Lin Hpone Lay Basic Education Middle School within the Mingalar Swun Shan Monastery compound.

The school principal explained the student attendance and the teachers' duty performance. The State Chief Minister instructed them to ensure a full supply of teaching aids and textbooks. It is also reported that they toured the vegetable plantations cultivated by the village residents and observed their successful and thriving condition.
