Drugs Busted: 207 kilograms of Ice seized in Tachileik

According to the Myanmar Police Force, a combined team, including members from the Anti-Narcotics Police Force, conducted a raid based on intelligence at the residence of Sai Hseng Twi in Mae Yang Village, Phan Min Village Tract, Tachileik Township, at 9 AM on October 4.

During the search, seven individuals, including Sai Hseng Twi , were apprehended. Seized items included 207 kilograms of Ice (methamphetamine), with an estimated local street value of 1.656 billion Kyats, one TOYOTA FORTUNER vehicle, one HONDA CIVIC vehicle, one TOYOTA CROWN vehicle, and one ISUZU D-MAX vehicle.

Following a chain of investigation and revelations, the combined team subsequently raided the residence of Sai Moon , the owner of the seized Ice (methamphetamine), in Ho Hko Village, Mong Hpun (B) Village Tract, Tachileik Township, at 10:30 AM on the same day. Sai Moon was found to be evading arrest and is currently being pursued for legal action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the criminal network, it’s reported.
