Healthcare Services in Kyaukme : Public healthcare services providing in Kyaukme

The Ministry of Health is working to expand the coverage of public health care services. Starting from October 5th, 2025, a temporary hospital was opened at the Labhamuni Chinese Temple in Kyaukme Township, Shan State (North), to provide health care to the local ethnic communities.

Patients have been receiving treatment there, with local ethnic people from the surrounding areas coming to seek medical care. From October 5th to 6th, a total of 165 outpatients and 4 inpatients received necessary treatments. The Kyaukme Township Public Health Department has also quickly reopened primary health care services in coordination with the township public health department and rural health sub-departments.

They provide health education, infectious disease prevention and control, maternal and child care, school nutrition and health programs, and vaccination and immunization services to the local ethnic communities in Kyaukme Township and nearby villages.
