Inspection tour : MoI UM inspected factory construction projects

Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Charlie Than, visited the Mapco rice bran oil factory construction site in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory; the factory of New Stellar Energy MM Co., Ltd. in Dakkhinathiri Township for manufacturing solar and related equipment; and the factory projects of Myanmar New Power Auto Co., Ltd. for assembling and producing electric vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers under the SKD system.

During the inspection tour of the factory construction status, the Director General of the Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department of the Union Territory (Nay Pyi Taw) accompanied and explained the details. During the inspection tour, the Union Minister stated that the visit was to ensure the speedy completion of factory construction projects and to coordinate and resolve any difficulties encountered during the operations.

The government is actively promoting the success of agro-based industries, so efforts must be made to complete factory planning projects as soon as possible to begin producing high-value agricultural products. Companies are expected to engage in import substitution production activities, and if there are any needs, they should be openly and transparently reported so that full support can be provided.

It has been reported that the guidance was given accordingly, and the responsible company officials’ presentations were coordinated and resolved.
