Sports Sector: Sports facilities in Yangon inspected

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, and Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung and officials inspected the sports grounds and stadiums in Yangon on the 5th of October.

At the Sports ground in Dagon Myo Thit (South), the Union Minister instructed officials to ensure the greening of football field, proper flow of drainage system, and maintenance of corridors and entrance of Multipurpose Stadium.

The Union Minister and party then proceeded to Myathida sports ground in South Okkalapa Township, inspecting the progress of upgrading football field and construction of Indoor stadium.

The Union Minister also stressed the officials to complete the projects in line with the set standard and time. They also visited Padaythar sport ground where the Union Minister instructed to keep cleaning of the environs and improvement of the Synthetic runways.

Later, the Union Minister enjoyed the Quarter final of Region/ State Billiards and Snooker Competition and  made discussion with officials from the federation to emerge new athletes and achieve success in the 33rd SEA Games.
