World Teachers' Day: Commemorative event held in Mandalay

A commemorative event for the World Teachers' Day was held at the Convocation Hall of Mandalay University on Sunday.

Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein attended the event together with the Chief Minister, Deputy Ministers, regional ministers, officials, eminent persons, outstanding teachers and winners of the commemorative events.

The ceremony commenced with the performance by the students, followed by the reading of the messages, sent by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Heads of five UN Agencies. Then, the certificates of honour and cash rewards were presented to the winners of commemorative events.
