Acting President, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu, Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, sent a message to the ceremony, marking the “World Teachers’ Day,” which falls on the 5th of October.
In his message, the Acting President extended greetings with best wishes, for all the teachers in the whole of Myanmar. He stated that, in this modern and ever-evolving age of Education, teachers must continually study and acquire up-to-date knowledge and technologies, in order to keep pace with the International community. While they are nurturing the students to become knowledgeable and skilled ones, teachers themselves must also engage in continuous learning, to enhance their own quality and professional improvement, as the State is striving to enhance the professional capacity of the teachers and upgrading the standards.
And, since Education plays a central role in developing human resources, the government has also been giving priority and support to the advancement of Education. The government will also be continuously providing support to enhance both the physical and mental aspects of the Education sector.
Therefore, parents, teachers, students and responsible authorities, must work together hand in hand, to achieve these goals. Furthermore, the Acting President urged all to build a peaceful future and a harmonious society, strongly encouraging to educate, train and nurture their students, so that a new generation will emerge fully equipped with knowledge, skills, expertise and personal qualities, embodying the five strengths.
