Upgrade Plans : Distribution of oil and natural gas

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin visited Titut Pipeline Base of Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise in Bago Region on Saturday. Officials provided update reports on distribution of oil and natural gas, and upgrade plans.

The Union Minister stressed the importance of exploiting oil and natural gas efficiently, avoiding wastages. He said the Ministry has laid down the plans for upgrading the pipelines and systematic metering systems to avoid wastages. In addition, cooperation has been made with the Ministry of Electric Power to avoid wastages due to low capacity of machinery.

He urged all to strive for time completing of upgrading works and new installation of pipelines to meet the increase production of natural gas from offshore projects by 2027-2028. The Union Minister and party later inspected the stock piling of newly purchased pipes and maintenance of restored pipes.
