Cut-Make-Pack Sector: Supervising Committee Holds Meeting (1/2025)

The Coordination Meeting (1/2025) of the Supervising Committee for Cut-Make-Pack (CMP) System Businesses was held on Friday at the Ministry of Labour in Nay Pyi Taw.

U Aung Kyaw Hoe, Union Minister for Labour and Chairman of the Committee attended the meeting and delivered an opening address.

The Union Minister stated that CMP businesses play a pivotal role in the country's development, job creation, and generation of national revenue. He explained that sub-committees have to coordinate with relevant departments, employers, and workers to ensure the smooth operation and development of the entire CMP supply chain.

As the country implements the development of Agro-based Industries, he urged committee members to prioritize and provide recommendations on difficulties and challenges faced by employers. He added that the increase in productivity and the stability of the workplace are a result of the tripartite cooperation among the government, employers, and workers.

Subsequently, officials from the CMP Business Inspection Sub-Committee, the CMP Wages and Tax Supervision Sub-Committee, and the CMP Import/Export Supervision Sub-Committee, along with representatives from various organizations, presented and discussed the work carried out. And, the Union Minister coordinated the discussions and delivered a concluding speech.
