Tour in Pyin Oo Lwin: SSPC Chairman tours in Pyin Oo Lwin

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Pyin Oo Lwin Railway Station on Thursday.

He heard reports on the progress of repairing the Goteik Viaduct which was damaged by the terrorists, producing of the steel frames that had been damaged, clearing along the rail road section and repair works, clearing of mines planted by the terrorists and speedy reopening of the Pyin Oo Lwin-Nyaungcho-Goteik-Kyaukme section.

The Acting President discussed for systematic work implementation for repair works and security measures. He stressed the need to attract local and foreign tourists through operating coal-engine powered-coach along the rail section.

The Acting President and party later took a tour around the railway station. They then proceeded to six-storey Thumingala (Nyan Taw) Market project, and heard reports on work progress. The Acting President instructed for close supervision for urban development and systematic work implementation. They then viewed the progress of the construction works.
