Vaccination Campaign: DT and HPV vaccines administered to the students

Vaccination campaign of DT (diphtheria, tetanus) to children with the aged between 5 to 7 year-old and  HPV vaccine to children between 9 to 10 year-old is taking place at the basic education schools in Magway Region.

On October 2nd, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin together with the State Ministers, departmental officials and concerned officials oversaw the vaccination processes at No.3 Basic Education High School, providing snack and energy drink to the children.

The campaign is conducted in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, Township Women’s Affairs Committee, and Township Maternal and Child Welfare Committee. It’s reported that 106 students of aged between 5 to 7 were vaccinated with HPV vaccine while 196 children were vaccinated with DT (diphtheria, tetanus) vaccine. The vaccination campaign will continue to be carried out for remaining children at the basic education schools within the region.
