Commemorative Event: 61st anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day

61st anniversary of Myanmar Police Force Day was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, with the attendance of Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The ceremony commenced with paying salute to the state flag, followed by an observance of one-minute silence for those who sacrificed their lives for national defence duty.

In his speech, the Acting President emphasized the role of the Police Force who engage directly with the public for stability and rule of law, and urged the police members to be excelled in work performance and public relations. He highlighted the preparations for the upcoming multi-party democracy general election and called for cooperation of all members for success of the election.

The Acting President also acknowledged the bravery of the police members in serving the state duty. He urged all to strive for development of Myanmar Police Force, to make constant training for capacity development, to maintain better public relations and to achieve the mission and vision of the organization. This was followed by screening of a video clip commemorating the Myanmar Police Force.

Then, the awards were presented to the recipients of the bravery medals. As part of the celebration, documentary photos, equipment and technological tools, weapons, uniforms, communication devices and seized drugs were displayed at the booths commemorating the 61st anniversary Myanmar Police Force Day.
