











Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung met with officials from various sports subcommittees, state/district/township office staff in the meeting hall of the State Sports and Physical Education Department in Myitkyina, Kachin State, to encourage the advancement of the nation's sports standards.
At the meeting, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung emphasized the need to develop various types of sports within the state starting from the basic level by systematically training and educating, aiming to produce new generations of outstanding athletes.
He also highlighted the importance of enhancing the skills of young athletes and organizing training systems that meet international standards. Additionally, he stressed the preservation and promotion of traditional regional ethnic sports alongside the necessity to hold more sports competitions.
Subsequently, the Union Minister presented commemorative gifts to subcommittee members according to the types of sports and provided educational support funds and stationery to the staff of the Sports and Physical Education Department. He also supplied food provisions and supported the families of conflict-displaced personnel with food supplies.
