Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Thein Hlaing and responsible officials, toured various designated locations of the Ministry of Immigration and Population in Nay Pyi Taw on September 30, to observe and encourage the ongoing computer-based examinations and interviews for the position of Assistant Immigration Officer.

The officials provided updates on the examination process. Subsequently, the Union Minister instructed supervisors to ensure there are no technical malfunctions during the computer-based tests and to oversee that candidates fully understand the questions asked, coordinating and addressing any necessary matters.

To fill the staffing shortages in the Ministry of Immigration and Population, approximately 150 Assistant Immigration Officer Positions for both male and female candidates are available. Accordingly, on September 6, English written exams were held simultaneously at designated locations across regions and states.

Those who pass the English written exam proceed to computer-based tests and interviews conducted at the Ministry’s designated locations in Nay Pyi Taw. The candidates who successfully pass these evaluations will be appointed as Assistant Immigration Officers and employed accordingly, it’s reported.
