








The ceremony to offer alms to the members of Sangha in commemoration of the 61st Myanmar Police Force Day was held at Myanmar Police Force Headquarters Arindama Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on September 30.
At the ceremony, Presiding Sayadawgyi of Mingalazeyon Pali Takkatho monastery in Pyinmana Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja Baddanta Vimalabhuddhi and other Sayadaws attended.
Also present were Union Minister for Home Affairs, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, the Deputy Minister, Chief of Myanmar Police Force, Permanent Secretary, Directors-General from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Chiefs of Police, senior police officers and their spouses, and invited guests.
First, the congregation led by the Union Minister observed five precepts administered by the Mingalazeyon Pali Takkatho Sayadawgyi and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha. Then, the Union Minister and the guests presented offerings of necessities to the Sayasaws, listened to the Anumodanā Dhamma, shared the merits for the donations, and offered alms food to the members of Sangha.
Afterwards, the Union Minister and the group attended the fish releasing ceremony marking the 61st Myanmar Police Force Day held at No. 3 Mingalakan Lake, located by Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road in Zambuthiri Township, and released 2,500 fish into the Mingalakan Lake as an act of life donation.
Additionally, in commemoration of the 61st Myanmar Police Force Day, a donation of 5 million kyats in cash was made to the “Karuna Kaba ” Elderly Home in Dakhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. It was reported that on October 1, a one-day nutritional donation would be provided to 191 elderly residents of the home.
