Viksit Bharat Run 2025: YGN Region CM delivered a speech

The "Viksit Bharat Run 2025" marathon organized by the Indian Embassy was held September 28 morning at People's Square in Yangon. Attendees included Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, region ministers, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Directorate of Strategic Studies and Training, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur and officials, as well as participants and organizers of the race.

First, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur delivered the opening remarks.

Then, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein gave a speech.

Subsequently, the participants and officials performed physical exercises, and during the race, Yangon Region Chief Minister, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and officials raised the flag and began the race. About 300 participants competed along the route starting from People's Square through Pyay Road, Alon Road, U Wisara Road, extending to the west of the Shwedagon Pagoda, and ending at the eastern entrance of People's Square, covering a distance of 5 kilometers. Yangon Region Chief Minister, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and officials cheered and welcomed the runners.

Afterwards, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur, and officials presented awards to the winners.
