Meeting with Farmers: NPTC Chairman held meeting with farmers

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and officials on Sunday attended the meeting with farmers for promoting the targeted yields at the Agriculture and Economic Knowledge Center in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. During the meeting, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman emphasized using quality seeds, seeder, natural fertilizers, systematic methods, and achieving the targeted yield.

Then, officials from the department of Agriculture elaborated the production, use and benefits of natural fertilizers. Next, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and council members provided Green-manure seeds, fertilizers, Sunflower seeds and seeders to the farmers while also addressing their needs and requirements.

After that, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman observed a rice mill in Payarkone village and instructed to ensure quality of product, to prioritize efforts to export products internationally, and to use quality seeds suitable for region and climatic condition.  

In the afternoon, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman inspected the renovation of quake-affected buildings in Balatheikdi ward, Zabuthiri Township instructing that the work have to meet set standards for disasters resilient, use quality construction materials and ensure workplace safety.
