WHD Commemorating Event : Bago Region CM attended and observed the event

Organized by the Ministry of Health and the Bago Region Government, the Myanmar Cardiac Society provided a cardiovascular disease treatment and health awareness event commemorating World Heart Day on the morning of September 28 at the Aung Thukha Medical Treatment Building of the 500-bed General Hospital in Bago. Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited the event to observe and offer support. 

First, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited the cardiovascular disease patients who came for treatment, offered words of encouragement, coordinated to ensure adequate and complete supply of medicines, and provided lunch for over 1,000 cardiac patients who visited the hospital.

This World Heart Day commemorative cardiovascular disease treatment and health awareness event provided examination and treatment for over 1,000 cardiac patients from 6 districts and 28 townships across Bago Region. The event was led by Professor Dr. Nwe Nwe from the Myanmar Cardiac Society, with a team of 33 senior cardiac specialists, including professors and specialists from the Defence Services General Hospital, Yangon General Hospital, Mandalay General Hospital, North Okkalapa General Hospital, and Kantharyar Hospital.

Later, the Chief Minister visited the Trustee Office on the platform of the historic Shwemawdaw Pagoda. He coordinated matters regarding the application of a full golden robe to the pagoda's main structure and ensuring the pagoda remains undamaged by natural disasters, including earthquakes.

He also inspected and provided guidance on the ongoing reinforcement work being carried out inside the pagoda's main structure. Subsequently, he inspected the application of sun-resistant marble slabs donated through the meritorious deeds of Army, Navy, and Air Force families on the pagoda platform, as well as the ongoing repairs and comprehensive renovations of the Dhamma halls on the platform to ensure devotees can worship in peace and comfort.

He issued necessary instructions. Furthermore, it is reported that the Region Chief Minister inspected the arrangements made by the Bago Region Government for holding an exhibition/competition of MSMEs agricultural machinery and equipment products in the vehicle parking area of the historic Shwemawdaw Pagoda in Bago, and provided necessary guidance.
