Myanmar / India : Meeting with Defence Secretary

Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary of India's Ministry of Defence in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, they frankly and openly discussed matters including the excellent state of relations between the two governments and two armed forces; continuing to promote multifaceted cooperation with mutual trust, respect, and friendship, the provision of training between the two armed forces, collaborative efforts for stability, rule of law, security, and development in the border areas of both countries; and continuing to maintain good diplomatic relations and friendship between the two nations and armed forces.
