Among the series of event saw the signing of an MOU between Rosatom Technical Academy of Russia and Yangon Technological University of Myanmar. The MOU aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear science, technology, research and personnel training. The agreement provides for the development of joint educational programs, the exchange of curricula and teaching materials, as well as joint research into promising nuclear installations and participation in international projects.

Dr. Soe Lin Aung, Acting Rector (Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University), said, Under the MOU, we will continue our cooperation in exchange program of both students and teachers while conducting joint research works. We currently have students studying at various universities in Russia, and this will help contribute towards human resource development in the field of nuclear energy in the country.

The Rector of Rosatom Technical Academy also expressed that “in order to establish and develop nuclear education, alongside training students at Russian universities, it is necessary to develop own programs in the field of nuclear education. The signed memorandum lays the foundation for systematic work on training Myanmar’s national workforce. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry, making this event especially symbolic. It’s not only about technology but about heritage, responsibility, and the path ahead.
